Glasgow Electrician Adds EV Charger Installs as a New Revenue Line

The Challenge

Clyde Electrical Contractors, NICEIC registered and well established in Glasgow, added EV home charger installation to their services as electric vehicle ownership grew across Scotland — but owner Fraser Munro had no way to actually communicate this new capability. His existing website hadn’t been updated in years and made no mention of EV chargers at all.

Fraser recognised EV charger installation as a genuinely new, growing revenue line — but only if people searching for it online could actually find him.

What We Built

We rebuilt Fraser’s site over six weeks with a dedicated, well-optimised EV charger installation page alongside his existing rewiring and general electrical services, clearly explaining the installation process, typical costs, and available government grant schemes. We displayed his NICEIC registration prominently and built location content covering Glasgow and the surrounding Clyde Valley area.

We also optimised his Google Business Profile specifically to surface for EV-related searches, a completely untapped channel for his business before this project.

The Results

Within six weeks, the site reached the top 3 for “EV charger installation Glasgow.” Organic traffic increased by 175%, and Fraser began receiving 20+ monthly enquiries specifically for EV charger installs — a service line that had generated essentially zero inbound enquiries before the new website. Annual revenue increased by an estimated £19,000 from this new line of work alone.
